Ruth provided the Committee members with further information about the Records Analyst/Archivist position and a brief description about the administrative placement of the University Archives ensued.
Vice Provost Libby Nason prepared an initial draft of a records management policy based on the documents produced by the University Archives Advisory Committee and a meeting with Chris and Ruth. At the meeting the committee discussed the draft policy section by section and proposed changes which have been included in the revised policy.
Action required: Committee members should review the revised draft to ensure that all changes discussed have been included.
The draft policy has been distributed to Deans, Heads, and Directors who have been asked to send representatives to two public meetings to be held October 19th, 2:00-3:30 and October 21st, 11:00- 12:00 at the Graduate Centre. Committee members are encouraged to attend these meetings.
