Search the collections

UBC Library's Open Collections can be searched directly from this website by using the search box on the right hand side of each page. There are also subject browsing options on each of the educational pages. When you perform a search or browse a subject, the digital collections will open in a new window.

Tips for searching the collections:

All of the items from the Yip Sang fonds include a short description in Chinese characters which can be searched by Chinese speakers if preferred over the English translation. Documents from the Chung Collection in Chinese have been given a short description of the Chinese content in English, and Chinese names have been transcribed in pinyin.

Searching for historical Chinese names can be a challenge. Vancouver Public Library has compiled a great resource on searching for Chinese names.
