MUSEUMS & EXHIBITIONS

  • Digital Photography Exhibits An international juried exhibit exploring new work created by artists who work with cameras and computers.

  • California Museum of Photography Always featuring many excellent exhibits.

  • Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography An affiliate of the National Gallery of Canada, in Ottawa.

  • Center for Creative Photography CCP is an archive, museum, and research center dedicated to photography as an art form and cultural record.

  • George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film. "... includes Mr. Eastman's restored house and gardens, an archives building and research center, galleries, two theaters, and an education center. The Museum displays the art, technology, and impact of photography and motion pictures over 150 years."

  • Fotomuseum The Fotomuseum Winterthur, currently featuring Daido Moriyama until the end of March 2000.

  • ICP International Center of Photography. Located in New York City, the ICP is "a museum, a school and a center for photographers and photography".

  • The Museum of Photographic Arts One of the only museums in North America dedicated solely to photography. Collects and shows from early and mid-20th century masterworks to contemporary fine art and photojournalism.

  • New York Public Library Photography Collection "The Photography Collection contains nearly 300,000 original photographic prints, from the medium's 150+ year history, representing an international range of photographers and comprising a thorough survey of subjects and processes."
