UBC Library
About Us

The Art + Architecture + Planning Division of the UBC Library supports the research and teaching needs of the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory; the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture; and the School of Community and Regional Planning.

The collection includes books, journals, catalogue raisonnés, exhibition catalogues, ephemera, article indexes, image databases and more. In addition, there are cabinets of files with an emphasis on Canadian art, architecture, and community and regional planning in Vancouver and beyond, and several picture collections.

The UBC Library is committed to developing and maintaining strong ties and good communication between faculty and librarians. The librarians serve as liaisons to ensure the collections and services of the Library support the needs of the faculties, departments, schools and programmes at UBC. The Library encourages all faculty to contact their subject librarian to arrange group or individual instruction, request new acquisitions for the Library, and consult on Library resources.
