SCOPE: Information about architecture in BC prior to 1945 (excluding North American Indian architecture). Books and journals in history as well as in architecture will be useful. Some information may be gleaned from newspaper articles and old photographs. Books received after 1978 are listed in the UBC Library catalogue online.   • Historical block plans with architectural features for existing buildings (dated 1885- ) are located in the Special Collections Division. Check online under the subject "Insurance, fire" subdivided by place names. An online guide to these plans is available.
