Their publications are vital to the understanding of developing issues in every arena of Canadian public life. The service provides more than one thousand documents to subscribers each year.
ARTstor (March 2006) ARTstor is a digital library of art images, information about the images, and software tools designed to enhance teaching, learning, and scholarship. ARTstor contains approximately 400,000 images of art, architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, design, archaeology, and other elements of visual culture. The images in ARTstor come from a wide range of civilizations, with initial strengths in European, American, and Asian cultures. The collection has been derived from several source collections that are the product of collaborations with libraries, museums, photographic archives, publishers, slide libraries, and individual scholars. ARTstor's proprietary software tools enable users to search for images online, analyze the images through features such as zooming and panning, and to save groups of images for personal or group uses, as well as for use in lectures and other presentations, either online or off-line.
