Online Resource Access Restrictions

Access to some resources on the UBC Library Web is limited by licence agreements with the resource providers. Some resources remain unrestricted, and many are available to all if accessed within the Library. Some, however, require a login procedure even within the Library.

(Note that some resources have alternative access methods, and so may appear in both restricted and unrestricted lists.)

Resources listed by type of access restriction:

• Unrestricted
  Available to all users, whether in the Library or connecting from another location.

• Restricted to UBC students, faculty, staff and users in the Library
  Available to all users in the Library, but only UBC students, faculty or staff have access from other locations.

• Restricted to UBC students, faculty, and staff only
  Only UBC students, faculty and staff have access, whether in the Library or connecting from another location.

• No Remote Access
  Accessible to all within the library only -- no access from other locations.
