The Number search will search the library catalogue for an exact match for the number you enter. You must specify whether the number is a call number, an ISBN, ISSN, LCCN or other number. The search automatically truncates your search term, so you can perform a search on the first portion of the number.

To enter a complete call number, replace the space after the first set of digits with a period. For example:- PS2384.M6 1930

- ISBN (International Standard Book Number)
Enter the 10 digit number without spaces or hyphens. You may truncate the number to retrieve a hitlist. Examples:- 0878450726

- ISSN (International Standard Serial Number)
In general, enter the 8 digit number as two sets of four digits, separated by a space or hyphen. Some ISSNs must be entered as a single 8 digit number). You may truncate the number to retrieve a hitlist. Examples:- 0017-8055

- LC Control Number
Enter the 8 digit number exactly as it appears in the MARC record. You may truncate the number to retrieve a hitlist. Example:- 19010089
- Other Numbers
Enter the number using appropriate punctuation or spaces. Spaces may be used to replace any punctuation. You may truncate the number to retrieve a hitlist. Example:- A-065-35673-00 (order number)
- AMP-7901-3 (Music Pub number)
