Periodical Abstracts is a complete general reference resource. The file contains indexing and abstracting to significant articles appearing in top general and academic periodicals, as well as full text from more than 600 journals from 1986 forward.
Periodical Abstracts covers current affairs, business and industry news and analysis, cultural events and issues, academic topics of general interest and editorial material that includes commentaries, sports, leisure and travel information, and reviews of books, concerts, exhibitions, films, restaurants and theater. Periodical Abstracts, currently contains more than two million records. Each record provides full bibliographic information, index terms, document delivery information and a summary of the article.
Ovid features include: company, product and personal name indexes; highly specific publication type limits, including those which indicate whether a book, restaurant, performance or event was reviewed favorably; the ability to sort search results by length of full text and numeric dates (not just years), and searchable full text.
