This is an excellent way of staying up to date in your area of scientific or engineering research.

Web of Science

Web of Science indexes the most highly cited journals in all areas of science, engineering, and medicine.

Compendex is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary database covering all areas engineering including civil, mechanical, materials science, and electrical.

American Chemical Society ASAP Alerts

ASAP Alerts links users to the latest research posted on a daily or weekly basis from any ACS Web Edition. E-mail messages will include the name of the journal, article title, author name (s), the official web publication date, and a direct URL link to the fulltext article

The ASCE alert service allows you to choose from any of twenty nine published journals. Fulltext access to ASCE journals is available through the UBC Library Ejournal site.

The IEEE Explore alert service delivers the table of contents of all IEEE and IEE journals and magazines. Conference proceedings and standards are not included.

ScienceDirect emails table of contents of Elsevier journals.

Institute of Physics delivers electronically the table of contents of all Insitute of Physics journals.

Oxford University Press journal table of contents sent automatically to your email address.

The Royal Society of Chemistry offers an email alert service for all RSC journals.

Science Online offers table of contents alerts, job alerts, current awareness alerts, CiteTrack personal research alerts, and NextWave updates.

Link Alert delivers electronically the table of contents of Springer journals.

The Taylor & Francis contents service will enable you to automatically receive the table of contents of any T&F journal at regular intervals - before the journal appears in print. Tables of contents are automatically e-mailed to list members when they become available.

Wiley publishes a number of prestigious journals including Angewandte Chemie, Chemistry - A European Journal.
