Discussion Groups for Women's Studies

Listservs

A listserv is a mailing list programme which copies and distributes e-mail to everyone subscribed to that particular mailing list. One of the best listservs for women's studies is WMST-L established in 1991 and moderated by Joan Korenman. Its purpose is "to facilitate discussion of Women's Studies issues, especially those concerned with research, teaching, and program administration, and to publicize relevant conferences, job announcements, calls for papers, publications ...." It also acts as a repository for course materials, bibliographies and other files related to women's studies. New listservs are also cited. To subscribe send the following one-line e-mail message with nothing in the subject line to listserv@umdd or listserv@umdd.umd.edu
