| Use of the Memorial Room |
![]() Main Floor of the Charles Woodward Memorial Room ![]() |
The main floor of the Memorial Room houses a general collection of circulating books and some reference items. These can be readily accessed during the times when the Memorial Room is open. Books designated Rare or Extension must be retrieved by a librarian and used under supervision in the Memorial Room. The resources may be used by all scholars and researchers, whether or not they are members of the University of British Columbia community. A UBC Library card is not necessary to access the collections; however, users must provide photo ID with their current mailing address.
It is best to request all retrievals in advance and to make an appointment (call 604-822-4447). Use of the Memorial Room is limited to persons consulting Memorial Room resources. In general, due to the age and fragility of these items, they cannot be photocopied. |
