Redress and Reconcilliation


The Truth and Reconciliation Commission has a five year mandate, as of June 1, 2008.
"The TRC will initiate and encourage reconciliation among former students, their families, their communities, and all Canadians. In doing so, the TRC will complete an accurate and public historic record of the past, thereby promoting awareness and public education about the IRS system, and its impacts on the human dignity of former students. "
