Caption	The number of immigrants - both legal and illegal - applying for identity cards and extensions of stay at the Victoria Barracks continues to be high.  Since its opening on May 21, 1979, the immigration office has recieved 22,807 applications for identity cards - 14,027 from illegal immigrants.
