Its design is under the influence of other UBC Buildings: PAPRICAN and Terry Fox Biomedical Laboratory. Its light sand-blasted concrete frame is enhanced with metal canopies,sunshades and curved roofs.
Name history:
Its name was recently changed to the Brimacombe Building.

This facility provides a space to bring together collaboration and cooperation bewteen different applied sciences departments, bringing them together in shared laboratory and facilities and fostering industrial research from the private sector. It is linked to the Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineeering Building and McLeod Building.
