Architectural features:
Buttresed tripartite elevations. Massive chimney. Gothic elements -- arched windows surmounting panelled doors, castellations, crests, gargoyles, tile cap at the parapet, copper awning.
The 1947-48 addition -- steel frame on concrete foundations, hollow tile curtain wall from grade to roof, stuccoed decorations.
The 1961 addition steel frame and curtain walls.
