- Designed and built as Preventive Medicine Institute.
Named for Dr. Frank Fairchild Wesbrook, first UBC President (and former
Dean of Medicine at the University of Minnesota), 1913-1918.
- Architectural features:
- V-shape plan. Reinforced concrete structure
with fire-proofed steel frame in Lecture Theatre. Truss-type steel joists
and girder construction over large voids. Concrete joists and slabs in
wings. Exterior: architectural concrete with granite veneer at base of
Main Entrance.
