Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Thursday and Friday at the UBC Okanagan campus. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at breaks throughout the conference. All events except the Dine Around are included in conference fees.

Pressed for time between your arrival and the beginning of the conference? Drop by the Atrium close to the Registration Desk and grab a quick sandwich.
   
Opening Reception
Relax and meet new colleagues at the Sun Room Patio while sipping on a glass of Okanagan wine.
   
Dinner Banquet
Enjoy a three course dinner presented by Classic Fare Catering.
   
The Art of Wine Tasting
Join Rhys Pender as he leads a seminar on how to get the most out of your glass of wine. We will be tasting a variety of fine Okanagan wines.
   
Dine Around
The WILU Dine Around tradition continues. Socialize with colleagues from across the continent and sample food and wine at top Kelowna lake side restaurants. Transportation will be provided at no cost by private coach to and from UBC Okanagan campus. Meal cost is not included in conference fees.
   
Option 1: Gray Monk Winery

  Limit 50 seats. Sign up and pay during registration. Cost: $48.00 per person. Taxes and gratuities included. Beverages extra.
   
  Join a UBC Okanagan host in the Panorama Room at one of the Okanagan's most venerable wineries. The view overlooks Gray Monk's vineyards, Okanagan lake and the surrounding mountains. Delight in a three-course meal prepared by top chef Willi Franz. Cash wine bar available to sample the winery's award winning wines. Choose your main course in advance when registering for the conference.
   
  First course:
  Fresh baked artisan bread, Little Creek organic greens with aged cheddar shavings and raspberry dressing.
  Main course: (choose one of 4 options)
  1: Halibut with lemon grass beurre blanc, rice pilaf and fresh vegetables.
  2: Herb crusted lamb rack with onion chutney, mousseline potato and fresh vegetables.
  3: Grilled chicken breast with tiger prawn brochette, rice pilaf and fresh vegetables.
  4: Vegetarian option; forthcoming.
  Dessert:
  Callebaut chocolate mousse raspberry torte.
   
Option 2: Sunset Bistro at Summerhill Pyramid Winery
  Limit 45 seats. Sign up and pay during registration. Cost: $48.00 per person. Taxes and gratuities included. Beverages extra.
   
  Be among the party at Kelowna's most frequently visited winery. Find out what pyramids have to do with grapes and wine. Enjoy a great view of the South Kelowna shore and a terrific three course meal. Cash wine bar available to try a variety of Summerhill wines. Choose main course when you arrive at the restaurant.
   
  First course:
  Butternut squash soup.
  Main course:*
  1: Boneless beef short ribs braised with mire poix vegetables and Summerhill Merlot.
  2: Fresh salmon fillet black sesame crusted with orange miso jus.
  3: Roast stuffed free range chicken breast with bread, leek and herb stuffing, served with herbed cream reduction.
  4: Vegetable wellington, grilled vegetables with duxelles and bean mash. Tomator basic and garlic saute.
  *All main courses served with seasonal vegetables and starch. Baked breads and butter included.
  Dessert:
  Warm Okanagan organic apple crumble with butterscotch sauce and vanilla gelato.
   
Option 3: Earl's

  A UBC Okanagan host will lead the way to an excellent casual dinner with a view of Okanagan Lake and City Park. Order directly from the varied menu and great wine list.
   
Option 4: Hanna's Lounge and Grill
  Sign up sheet available at the Registration Desk.
  This is the new restaurant in town with a drop-dead view of the lake. Order from the menu. We can personally recommend the steak! Seafood and BC cuisine are also signature dishes. A UBC Okanagan host will guide you to this fabulous location.
   
Option 5: Wild Apple Grill
  Sign up sheet available at the Registration Desk.
  Sip, savor and lounge on the water's edge at this lakeside Kelowna restaurant that features tapas-style cuisine and Okanagan wines in a contemporary setting. Walk along the promenade and soak in the scenery that has made Kelowna famous. 
   
Option 6: Additional Local Restaurants will be added.
